Our mission is for everyone who lives at Belmont House to feel loved, safe and to be happy. We aim to ensure that every person continues to have the human experience of family. At Belmont House, we understand that choosing a care home is a significant decision for both residents and their loved ones. That's why we are committed to transparency, open communication, and personalised care planning to ensure that each resident receives the attention and support they deserve.

Meet the Team

  • Julie Williams

    OWNER

    Julie has owned Belmont House for 27 years. In 1998, she opened the home with her mother Margaret, who was a driving force in the early years of the business. In recent years, Julie took primarily responsibility and is now the sole owner of Belmont House following the passing of her mother in early 2024.

    Julie has run several other successful businesses including a beauty salon for over a decade.

    Julie is friendly, approachable, and funny. Her Team describes her as helpful, committed, and likeable.

  • Joanne Griffiths

    MANAGER

    Joanne has extensive experience, having worked in Health and Social Care for over 20 years.

    Initially starting out as a Care Assistant, Joanne progressed to Manager in four years, since managing Health and Social Care Services for 14 years.

    Joanne has expertise supporting people with learning difficulties, autism, mental health needs, dementia, anxiety disorders and Parkinson’s Disease.

    Joanne is bubbly, approachable and passionate. Her team describes her as joyful, positive and compassionate.

  • Louvaine Emerson

    DEPUTY MANAGER

    Louvaine has worked in Health and Social Care for 28 years starting as a care assistant in a nursing home.

    Throughout those 28 years, Louvaine progressed to a Senior Carer working in conjunction with nurses and gaining a high level of hands-on experience. She has worked with people with terminal illnesses and long-term nursing needs and has a sustained level of experience supporting people with palliative care.

    Louvaine is sociable, enthusiastic, and outgoing. Her team describes her as fun, compassionate, and consistent.

  • Joanne Lewis

    BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR

    Joanne has been the administrator at Belmont House for 18 months. Previously, Joanne ran her own business as a hairdresser for 4 years where she completed her own administration and accounts.

    Prior to that, Joanne was a lecturer at Coleg Morgannwg in Merthyr Tydfil and Coleg y Cymoedd in Ystrad Mynach.

    Joanne is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Her team describes her as honest, highly organised and meticulous.

  • Kirsty Millard

    CARE COORDINATOR

    Kirsty has worked at Belmont House for 2.5 years, her first job in Health and Social Care. Following a career in retail, Kirsty had a calling and wanted to use her caring nature to help people. Kirsty has progressed from carer to shift leader and is now our Care-Coordinator.

    Kirsty is composed, harmonistic and considerate. Her team describes her as caring, sweet, and calm.

  • Mydai ‘Derek’ Griffiths

    HEALTH, SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE MANAGER

    Derek has worked in the areas of security, Health and Safety and logistics for over 20 years. Derek has 18 years of experience of managing a team and is highly organised owing to his extensive experience in logistics.

    Derek is driven, functional and practical. His team describe him as logical, multifaceted and focused.
